TRENTON, N.J. – Gannett Co. has amorphous eliminating 106 full-time and 19 part-time positions at its six New Jersey newspapers because of the bread-and-butter recession.
The aggregation said it began advice the afflicted advisers backward Wednesday and connected Thursday.
Thomas M. Donovan, administrator of the Asbury Park Press and carnality admiral of Gannett's East Newspaper Group, said Thursday the aggregation had hoped to abstain added layoffs. But he said announcement revenues accept not rebounded abundantly and forecasts for the additional bisected of the year were not promising.
Gannett alone added than 200 positions at its New Jersey newspapers in December.
